Carolina Aero Marine Adventures Fishing Report
|
11/6/08
Started off the morning finding multiple schools of redfish working a shoreline. They were
a little spooky but we were able to catch one on a zara spook topwater lure and one on a
jerk shad soft plastic jerkbait. Both fish were over the slot limit. We then went in search of
trout and found them stacked up on a stretch of shoreline. They were not in any real
concentrations but we were picking up a fish every few minutes. We caught about 35
trout with some nice fish pushing 20 inches. We were catching them on DOA shrimp
under popping corks in less than 4 feet of water.

Found a beautiful school of redfish this morning on the first bank we started poling.
Caught 2 fish on topwater lures and two fish on a redfish majic out of that school. We
then moved to a different bank as the water started rising and were able to catch 4 more
fish on soft plastic jerk shads. The highlight of the morning was spotting a 26 inch redfish
in about 10 inches of water sitting still. The angler made a perfect cast, throwing the bait
about six feet past the fish. He brought the bait right up to the fish and he instantly ate
the lure.
